Lonavala is a popular hill station set high in the Sahyadri range between Mumbai and Pune, known for its rolling green valleys, cool air and monsoon mists.

Its appeal is an easy mix of viewpoints and waterfalls, hilltop forts, ancient rock-cut caves and, famously, the chikki sweet sold at every turn.
