The Waghai Botanical Garden, one of the largest botanical gardens in Gujarat, is a green treasure trove near the town of Waghai at the edge of the Dangs’ forests. When to go
The monsoon and the weeks after are the best time — everything is in growth, the hills are green and the waterfalls nearby are running.
November to February is cool and clear, comfortable for a long walk around the collection.
Even in summer Waghai is cooler than the plains, though the greenhouse sections get hot by midday.
⏰ The Dangs are loveliest in and just after the monsoon, when the hills are green and the waterfalls full.
