ABOUT THE PLACE

A forest cascade

Zarwani Falls is one of the loveliest natural sights of Narmada district — a tiered waterfall tucked deep within the teak forests of the Shoolpaneshwar Wildlife Sanctuary. Fed by monsoon streams running off the hills, the falls tumble over rock ledges into pools below, framed by green forest, and are at their full, thundering best from the late monsoon into early winter.

The site has a forest eco-campsite, making it a favourite for nature lovers who come to swim (with care), picnic, camp and enjoy the cool, unspoilt setting away from the crowds at Kevadia. A refreshing wild escape near the Statue of Unity.

A forest waterfall; permits and timings apply, so plan ahead — and always take care near the water, especially when the falls are in spate.
