✦ DISTRICT TRAVEL GUIDEHome of the world's tallest statue.
Narmada is one of Gujarat's 33 districts — explore its destinations, culture, food, heritage, wildlife and hidden gems in this complete travel guide.
Narmada district, in southeastern Gujarat, has shot to global fame as the home of the Statue of Unity — at 182 metres, the tallest statue on Earth, honouring Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. It rises beside the mighty Sardar Sarovar Dam on the Narmada river.
Around the statue at Kevadia, a whole world of attractions has bloomed: a jungle safari and zoo, the Valley of Flowers, cactus and butterfly gardens, a river cruise and a glittering nightly light show. Beyond lie the tribal forests of Shoolpaneshwar, the Zarwani waterfall and the old palaces of Rajpipla.
Forest, river and a record-breaking icon make Narmada one of Gujarat’s fastest-rising destinations.
