Monsoon Fests

The Dangs is the greenest, most forested district of Gujarat, and in the monsoon (June–September) it is transformed into a place of extraordinary beauty — a season celebrated with monsoon festivals and a flourishing of eco-tourism. When the rains come, the forested Sahyadri hills turn an intense emerald, mist drifts through the valleys, and the rivers and streams swell into spectacular waterfalls — the famous Gira Falls near Waghai, the Girmal Falls (among Gujarat’s highest), and countless seasonal cascades.
