About Navsari
Navsari is a green, gracious town in South Gujarat whose heritage far outshines its size. One of India’s oldest Parsi (Zoroastrian) settlements, it guards a holy Atash Behram fire and is the ancestral home of the Tata family — Jamsetji Tata, founder of modern Indian industry, was born here.
Just down the coast lies Dandi, where Mahatma Gandhi ended his historic 1930 Salt March and lit the flame of freedom. Inland, the Vansda forests and Purna’s wilds run deep and green, while sugar-cane fields and mango orchards perfume the air.
