Gujarat’s crafts under one roof
Gurjari is the retail brand of the Gujarat State Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation — the state’s own emporium for authentic craft. Its shelves gather the best of Gujarat’s traditions: double-ikat Patola silk from Patan, Bandhani tie-dye, mirror-worked Kutchi embroidery, Mashru weaves, brassware, block prints and more. For visitors it is a fair, fixed-price way to take home genuine work while supporting the artisans who make it.
Craft, kept alive
Gujarat's craft traditions are village-based and scattered — Patola in Patan, bandhani in Jamnagar and Kutch, mashru in Patan, embroidery across a dozen Kutchi communities.
Gurjari is the retail arm of the Gujarat State Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation, set up to give those artisans an organised market.
It functions as a shopfront for makers who have no way to reach retail buyers themselves, buying from cooperatives and individual artisans.
Everything is fixed-price and state-backed, which removes both the bargaining and the authenticity question.

Patola silk
Patan Patola — double-ikat silk where both warp and weft are resist-dyed before weaving, and among the most expensive textiles in India.
Bandhani
Bandhani tie-dye from Jamnagar and Kutch, in odhanis, dupattas and saris, priced by the fineness of the tying.

Kutchi embroidery in its distinct community styles, with mirror work, and sold as garments, wall pieces and bags.
Mashru
Mashru, the silk-and-cotton weave with silk face and cotton back, historically made to satisfy a prohibition on silk against the skin.
