The Waghai Botanical Garden, one of the largest botanical gardens in Gujarat, is a green treasure trove near the town of Waghai at the edge of the Dangs’ forests. Spread over a large area, it gathers a remarkable diversity of plants — towering bamboos, palms, cacti and succulents, medicinal and ornamental species, orchids, a fernery and a tropical greenhouse, and avenues of trees — representing the rich flora of the Western Ghats and other regions.

A pleasant, educational and shady place to walk, it is popular with families, students and nature lovers, and pairs naturally with a visit to nearby Gira Falls and the Dangs’ woodlands. The Dangs’ botany, gathered in one place.
